Upcoming Exhibition

For this exhibition, downstairs at Shapero Modern, Jack Milroy has carefully selected books whose rare predecessors can be found upstairs at Shapiro Rare Books. Books depicting flowers, animals and costumes. The book-works created for Bibliophilia are not meant to be read but are for collecting and reflecting — perhaps on the demise of the book as a purveyor of information and knowledge. One exception from using books for his cut outs for this exhibition are his now famous sardine piccanti tins. For his early work in that medium, he ate sardines every day for lunch!
